Brimstone

Went across the water to the Leith market and stocked up with some essentials - it wasn't quite raining but there was some violent gusts of wind, one of which almost blew away half of the Alpine food stall and  the cheese man's breakfast croissant.

On our way out we noticed a pretty visitor resting in the hall - turns out to be a Brimstone Moth, Opisthograptis luteolata. Apparently the caterpillar feeds on hawthorn and blackthorn and looks remarkably like an old hawthorn twig!
