Eryngium

By now all the glorious late spring colour of azalias and rhoddies is pretty much over and my garden is looking a bit, well, leafy.  Popped into my favourite little independent garden centre (The golf and garden in Tillycoultry - had a few other things to do later so did not avail myself of the 100 balls practice option on this occasion) and followed the sound of the bees.  By far the most popular bee plant was the Sea Holly, or Eryngium.  Every plant had at least 2 bees clinging to it- you can just see the yellow of the second bee behind this one in the pic.  Also picked up some lovely trailing lobelia and soem lovely verbenas which will possibly feature in future blips :-)
