Historic Transport In Lymm Cheshire .

The Bridgewater Canal (first canal in Britain ) runs through Manchester and Cheshire .The widest of such canals it was built by the Earl of Bridgewater and today is managed by Peel Holdings. It has no locks hence, a dream to boat navigate. Lymm is a lovely town with lots of charm. There are shops, places to eat and above all, enjoy life .Today the vehicles were assembling for a grand parade tomorrow .
The bottom L image is of a steam roller built in 1920 .Bought by the present owner it has been a labour of love and fully restored . I was able to film it briefly. Amazed at how fast it could go ! Have lots of catching up to do as life has been hectic .Have a lovely Saturday .
