Andy in Dunblane

and finally in our sporting weekend , we stayed overnight at our daughter's house near Dunblane and set off this morning in the pouring rain to welcome Andy Murray back to his home town after his successful Olympics and US Grand Slam. We w managed to get a really good spot on the roadside before it got too crowded, waited over an hour in the pouring rain but were very fortunate in that the rain did not stop play, Andy walked the length of the town in the rain in front of the open top bus which transported his family as he walked in front and stopped along the way for photographs, signing autographs happily. By the time he reached us the rain had stopped but the sky was cloudy.

he must have been exhausted as I heard tonight that he had spent 5 hours on his walk through the time - much the same tine as he spent winning that Grand Slam !
So tonight's blip had to be a portrait of Andy as he stopped to sign autographs.
