Yesterday started with swimming lessons; today it was gymnastics. We have been in charge today, so after gymnastics it was a quick return home to change and then out to lunch. Shopping for sandals was next and then we went to another English Heritage place a short distance away. This was Lullingstone Roman Villa, a fine survivor of Roman times, which was occupied for over 300 years. There is an excellent mosaic floor and lots of Roman artifacts. And a good trail – we do like a good trail with a clipboard!! Then at the end the three got involved in a mosaic creating activity and it was hard to move them on. (The whole place was very dark, I'm surprised I got any pictures, but the Fuji coped very well.)

We arrived home and homework was completed, much to Mum’s relief when she returned home from a race. Dogs were taken out and there was much outdoor play. Then we left them to it. Exhausted – a glass of wine calls!

Home tomorrow, although we do get to take the children to school in the morning before we set off north.
