Showers in The Afternoon

Well, that's what The Boss's eyephone said. Err no, it didn't actually say it, given that The Boss has never really developed a satisfactory relationship with the nice young lady in the phone. It just displayed it on the screen and he read it out. Voice playback sorta with deep dulcet tones. I never really thought about the Boss's tones until "pcc" of blip fame, made that remark after hearing him read a long dissertation on the state of something at a meeting she had attended. The Urban K9 Dictionary says " A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what." So Dulcet it is. OK?
Ahhh how did we get here??
OH YES. Well Monday is walking day and in spite of the above weather report we did a bit of "The Millennium Track" from Glendhu Bay towards town and we had almost made the usual lunch stop (theirs not mine) when the threatening skies stopped threatening and took action, and it poured. Those of us who were either just slow, or photographers, turned around and headed back to Damper Bay (great name Eh!) and found a wonderful picnic area with seats etc all under trees and sheltered from the deluge so had their sandies and stuff there. All the really keen lot had arrived at the normal spot (a peninsula area with wonderful view of the lake and deluge) and came back past us some time later. We simply glowed in our slowness. Heh heh heh.

AND I was carried. 4 times and NOT in an over the shoulder terrier holder either altho the idea appealed. I just can't get over the cattle stops that the track people install so The Boss puts his hand down, I jump up a bit, he catches me and we cross the dreaded CS, and he drops gently places me back on the ground on the other side.

For all those international followers that have stayed there, we finished the walk with Coffee plus raspberry and white chocolate scones for The Boss, at Edgewater all sitting around a lovely fire. It was really LLD (little lie down) territory but everyone was far too polite to put their boots on the tables. A very couth lot, the "B" Team.

The picture was snapped on the way back with the sky looking threatening again but luckily it had run out of steam and only produced a few drips. It was just on the Bay side of the Kaynanerous Gap (August 19).

PS I have lost my bandanna. I went swimming in it over the weekend and it shrunk a bit so The Boss removed it to stop me becoming a Soft Coated Blue Terrier.

PPS. On the way back a younger bloke on a bike passed us going the other way and when he saw the group, he looked surprised and uttered the consolatory words "Well Done" The cheeky sod! How old does he think we are? Our leader is only in his 80's for goodness sake!

Tip toe into the lake
