Tiny Tuesday: Jewellery, or Something Special.

This piece of jewellery is very special to me.

My parents worked hard with few holidays for most of their lives but in their senior years enjoyed a couple of overseas trips and several to other parts of Australia.

Lightning Ridge is an opal mining town in NSW and after a visit there they brought back three opals, one for each daughter.
I had mine set into this pendant which I wear on special occasions.

I wondered if this was a sensible challenge to set for my last week hosting Tiny Tuesday, but after a look at the entries so far I am so glad I did. 
There are some wonderful stories attached to the pieces posted.
