Lazarus flower

Turns out the hemerocallis were not dead, just resting.

Another hot night last night, and not in a good way. Hot day too, but it was just about cool enough for a few outside jobs. My method (turns out) is to start several jobs at once, then edge each one slowly towards completion - so today three jobs were so nudged. For when I forget, the way to hammer in metal spikes is to water them.

No response from the school to my perfectly reasonable and non-ranty email. Don't really know what to do with that.

CarbBoy is now done with school for the year (a fact I wish they'd told us a while ago and we could have gone on holiday earlier) and TallGirl is done too (but for the small matter of exams on Thursday and Friday). We celebrated with ice creams.
