Tomorrow I’ll be strolling 2 miles to the oldest church in the country (probably … there’s a church in Canterbury with a bit of a wall that might be older). It’s the second cathedral of Chelmsford. The walk might not seem far but I’ll be accompanying 170 children plus staff plus parents of the local primary school. It’s a long walk for the littlest ones. When we get there we tell stories, explore the beach, say prayers, eat ice cream, play games, sing and just enjoy being there. Hope the rain holds off. Today’s blip is of a “throw and tell” purchase to get all sorts of folks talking together about all sorts of things. We’ve three versions of the same idea. And then there’s the 2 mile stroll back. Today’s extra is where we’re heading. For many, a thin place.
