Helena Handbasket

Back at the kava again, where son, Manolis, has just erected a vernacular shed to store beer and water.
The rear wall comprises stacked cement blocks which have not been cemented together; gravity should suit his purpose well enough, despite the fact that this region has fairly high risk seismology.
The side walls are simply stacked pallets.
Manolis has sourced a decent steel joist to support the relatively good quality sheet roof, but he has not sourced a decent steel column to support the joist. Instead he has used a stack of at least 17 beer crates.
The beer crates Manolis has chosen to use are full, so that is about 170 litres of inaccessible stock.
His father, Stelios, with the onset of dementia, understands perfectly well that this is idiotic.
