Walking the wall

We walked the wall around York, stopping off at various points for a mooch about and found a café in one of the gatehouses for a pit stop.

After a rest back at the hotel, we headed out for dinner before taking an evening boat cruise along the river Ouse, to the Bishop's Palace. The Bishop used to do a Pause For Thought slot on BBC Radio 2 and sounds like a nice chap. Unfortunately, the cruise doesn't include a look around the building and a nightcap with the Bishop!

After that we walked through town to the rock bar we'd been to on our last visit for a couple of nightcaps ourselves. It's a long time since we've been in a town on a Saturday night ... I don't miss it!
