Razor clams

Another very grey day with intermittent bouts of heavy drizzle and poor visibility. Given the conditions we opted for a 11 mile circular of Loch Oich. The drive to Invergarry for the start of the walk passed by the shores of the functionally named Loch Lochy. Much of the walk was through forest so views were quite minimal. There were two more swing bridges, one at either end of the loch. After the walk we sampled the liquid refreshment on offer at a floating pub at Lagan Locks. For dinner we went back to the lovely Loch Leven seafood cafe where Mr B as usual chose the weirdest item on the menu - razor clams. As a child I loved collecting razor shells never imagining for one minute that you would ever want to eat them. Each clam was about 8 inches long by an inch and a half wide and the starter consisted of at least eight of them.
