Double

... rainbow. Lacking a blip today, I took a detour on the way back from my French book group, to pass by Notre Dame de la Consolation, which is usually a good bet for dramatic skies. However the blipportunity was short -- the minute I got out of the car, the sun went in and it started raining, and I was extremely ill-equipped for the conditions. Wind hurling needles of rain at bare arms is not pleasant.  So this is a quick grab on the way back, before the lens got spattered with raindrops. See the extra for a brighter bit of sky. And note, there are no vines in either of these photos! Ten years ago there would have been nothing but.

We discussed Candide -- last read aged about 16, at school! We also brought cake and wine, so even though there were some absentees, it was a good meeting.
