Wild Wednesday ....

... IronPigs Game Day!

Tonight we attended the Cancer Survivor's Game Day at the IronPigs stadium ... Coca Cola Park.  It was a wild night!  And a lot of fun! The background picture of the baseball was a wild foul ball that came our way!  Thankfully no one was hit!  The IronPigs went on the win 10 runs to 2!

Speaking of wild: This afternoon whilst at home I saw a rather sad and wild thing.  An adult Song Sparrow was feeding a fledgling that was twice her size.  I knew it couldn't possibly be a fledgling sparrow and immediately thought of the Cowbird, which is known to lay her eggs in other bird's nests!  I felt so bad for the song sparrow as she struggled to feed such a large fledgling!  But I couldn't lay the blame on the fledgling ... he/she probably doesn't even realize that the sparrow isn't really his/her mother!  Just a surrogate.
