Above And Beyond...

Crickhowell

Our daughters neighbour in Pontypool has a few allotments and the first produce of the year is 'Runner beans' which he'd given her to pass on to us as we're his best customers; so early this afternoon we headed there for a catch up and collect them.

It was a gorgeous day and we went for a ride and stopped off in the charming town of Crickhowell, Powys, for a look around it and a short walk along teh riverbank. It is a picturesque town nestling in the beautiful Usk Valley and lying to the south of the Black Mountains, the eastern range of the Brecon Beacons National Park. I took the blipfoto walking down a quiet side street and If it wasn't for the yellow lines it could easily be from the Victorian era.

On the way home we stopped off at my brothers house near  Abergavenny on theMonmouthshire to Brecon canal. We enjoyed a cuppa on his patio in the sunshine.
