Guardian of the pyramids!

I had high hopes for today, but in the end I decided to stay at home and lime a large sideboard I have had waiting for years. I love limed oak furniture (even if it is a bit yesterday), the grain in the wood is always so beautiful, and the pale pinky colour suits my Shabby chic house perfectly.
Anyway I made good progress, and have finished quite a bit, which is very pleasing. Later in the day as it cooled down I went for a quick trip with Rosie to Kithurst hill. Sadly the season is rushing on this year and so much is already over, but I did manage to find a couple of Pyramidal orchids still looking sort of OK and this one had a resident crab spider  Misumena vatia keeping watch. A bonus I feel!!!
