Do it yourself tree surgery

Why pay hundreds of euros to the professionals when all you need is a friendly neighbour with a very long ladder, an electric saw and absolutely no fear of heights!
This afternoon we undertook some rather scary DIY tree surgery to remove some broken branches that were overhanging the roof of our chalet.
It was our neighbour, Jean-Claud who braved the ladder. I am in the shot on the right on the roof with a broom deflecting the falling branches in the hope they cause no damage.
