It's a politically worrisome Independence day for some of us, Raspberry included from the look on her face.She's modeling one of Great Aunt Abbie's hats for this festive day.

The only fireworks festivities I saw last night were created by Mother Nature. Out the bedroom window I saw brilliant stars glimmering in the lovely dark sky and the glowing and blinking lights of fireflies.

Last light, last lupine, last night at sunset.

For the Record,
This day came in warm and sunny, a perfect day for local July 4th festivities.

All hands worried about the state of our divided nation.
