A pair of Spectacles!!

Sorry, just couldn't resist!
My moth trap is super busy the last few nights, and once again I have caught a few really nice 'lifers', included in this list is the moth on the left, a Dark spectacle  Abrostola triplasia, a beautiful moth I have longed to catch for ages. Sadly up until now they have all been Spectacles            
Abrostola tripartita, the moth on the right, so I was even more pleased to be able to blip the two of them together so you can see the difference. Both are reasonably common (the Spectacle more so). and both have the characteristic raised tufts of scales on the front of the thorax that look like spectacles that gives them their common name.
