Happy Birthday Number One Son

We had a wee Monday night party for son's 14th birthday. The girls made him a lemon cake and we decorated it up like a hurling pitch. The figures I got were for football so I stuck some chopsticks to the goals to give the high bars and made some hurleys out of cheesestrings. The players held these in their hands, I had to put them all in the freezer to keep the cheese from going soft. The goalie dropped his hurl and as the cake was still hot when we iced it his cheesestring hurl melted on top of the cake! It was yummy anyway, very buttery.
