Castle Douglas

Our raincoats stayed in the pannier today and we're very pleased with that. It has been a dry and almost sunny day. The beautiful scenery helped to lift our spirits and we could face the climbs again with much more enthusiasm. I don't need an e-bike, I just don't need rain.

In Castle Douglas, we drank coffee at the Dubble Dutch Pancake restaurant. The cook had to bake Bert a pancake because Bert won with a high score at sjoelen.

At Kirkcudbright, a couple of Dutch cyclists passed us. They also were cycling route 7. We saw them already at the strange campsite yesterday, which, according to them, was a romantic place.

We stay on a campsite in Creetown for two nights, where there is nothing to see or much do. When the weather is fine we can do our laundry and the manager said there is a swimming pool on a caravan site somewhat further away.
