Gretna Green

It was still raining when we awoke. We did arrange our luggage as to leave at the nearest dry opportunity. I told Bert my doubts about our adventure. He doesn't feel the same. We went when the rain had stopped, following route 7 to Carlisle, where we had some shopping to do. Firstly we had to buy new brakes on both our bicycles and secondly Bert was in need of a pair of rain trousers, because his weren't keeping him dry anymore.

At Gretna Green, I asked him to marry me again.
He said Yes.

The campsite where we thought to be camping tonight, appeared to be a strange site where you had to pay to go wild camping. We didn't like it at all and continued our journey all the way to Dumfries, where there is no campsite at all. In a city is it easier to find a place to stay.

The sun shone at four and the predictions are good.
