Dot

Put in a shift at the allotment - weeding, clipping, picking, etc. When I was picking some blackcurrants I lifted a leaf to find this feller having a sleep on a blackcurrant. When we got back home to the moth book I found that it looked very much like a Dot Moth, Melanchra persicariae - but the book says "absent from most of Scotland". Evidently no-one told this one.

There was a pretty butterfly too (extra) - possibly a Meadow Brown?
