Red House Roof (Day 12)

I started on the other side today and managed to remove all the sheeting on this side. Underneath was the previous roof of wooden shingles. Since the metal roof I've just removed must be at least 50 years old this wooden roof is between 70 and 100 years old.  I shall leave it in place, cover it with roof underlay and then continue as before with battens and the new sheet metal roof.
Tomorrow we'll take to the tourist trail with our visitors from Denmark so my body gets a rest from the sloping world.
