Bandstand, Botanic Gardens, Singapore

Day 9

Third time lucky. Another visit here, this time it did not rain. We explored other areas including the Healing and Fragrance Gardens, the Bonsai Collection, the Sundial Garden, and enjoyed the swinging seats in the Frangipani Collection. These seats reminded us of the Alnwick Garden Cherry Blossom area. We also came across two long lizards.

We found the Bandstand at last, and much enjoyed a return visit to the National Orchid Garden. So very beautiful. The extras include a view from the verandah at Burkill Hall within that area.

We walked from here to Tanglin Mall. I was in search of Merrell trekking shoes. Success. They had my size. Staff were so helpful, and very polite. Purchased for less than half the UK price. All will be revealed soon as to why I need these.

We enjoyed the amazing shops, and architecture on Orchard Road, passing by the hotel where the wedding celebration took place last year. Great memories.
