Queen on the Clyde

MS Queen Elizabeth passes Dunoon on her way down the Firth of Clyde this afternoon, with me hanging out of the window to catch her at the moment she gave two great deep-throated hoots on her horn which nearly had me in the garden below ...

We ended up chasing this huge ship (Cunard's second-largest ever) down river with me catching films of her as we went, but in fact she looks most impressive at this moment with the town in the foreground giving an idea of scale.

My extra photo is of this evening's sunset sky - a huge contrast with the grey of the day.
