Day 51 - Not forgotten

Amongst all the hectic of the building work it is sometimes easy to forget the animals. Cats notoriously don't like having their surroundings disturbed but luckily seem to be coping. The dogs don't get long enough walks but Luna loves the morning strokes she gets when the white vans pull up.

Although the horses aren't being ridden they do still need to be cleaned up and refuelled. Farmer Andreas delivering a bale of 2016 first cut hay. No longer the best for high performance, milk producing cows but ideal for horses not required to do anything.

However it now looks as though our "Rescue" two Indian Runner Ducks have either given up on us or someone / some animal has lured them away. We would see them come home in the evening in their hut with automatic doors. Then they came in the evening to eat but stayed outside. Now no sight. The stream is now heavily overgrown and we haven't had time to do a thorough look, so it could be they have found a suitable place to sleep.
