Twin Pagodas, Chinese Garden, Singapore

Day 13

A peaceful day spent at the Chinese and Japanese Gardens at Jurong Lake. Created in 1975, both gardens are on islands on the Lake, accessed by beautiful white arched bridges.

It took 1.5 hours each way by bus and MRT, but it was worth it.

Really enjoyed a climb to the top of the 7 storey pagoda, and a wander around the extensive Bonsai garden. Lots of beautiful red bridges, and stone lanterns in the Japanese garden. We saw turtles, monitor lizard, Kingfisher, over 25 herons.

A delicious meal at Dian Xiao Er Restaurant at Nex. Duck, fish, mushrooms, tofu, a real treat.

Happy Birthday to my sister, back in the UK.
