Wet
It was a wet evening walk around the Clifton estate in Nottingham, not so much from the rain although it did a bit, but from the waist-high undergrowth drenched from earlier downpours.
Clifton used to be the largest council house estate in Europe I believe and it's reputation hasn't always been very good, but it really does contain a secret bit of countryside. In-between the housing, and also down near the River Trent, we followed a network of paths and tracks interspersed with small sections of road for six and a half miles.
My feet were wet when we'd finished, but I don't think these lightweight boots were leaking, I'm sure my trousers had drained into my socks!
