Beside the sea

We had already decided that we would go,out for the day today as the forecast was good, after a couple of wet days.

So off we went to Crosby for the day.....not been this year so far. A lovely drive over, quiet motorways, blue skies.....perfect.

It was surprisingly quiet when we pulled into the car park besides the lifeboat station.... maybe because they have introduced parking charges, which arnt bad in our opinion. £1.90 for 4 hours!!

The tide was out, the sun was up, a light breeze, so off we went. Hubs foot is still causing discomfort, but he now has gel insoles which help his "plantar fasciitis" otherwise known as policeman's foot apparently, its going to take a good while to heal, likely months, so he is just getting on with it!

We walked right along the path to the far end where the sailing club is, where we had lunch and a coffee whilst watching lots of teenagers trying their hand at kayaking, canoeing and sailing. all quite entertaining....a few capsizes ;-)

On our walk back to the car, we stopped for a 99 ice cream, which was lovely!! We saw some kites being flown as you can see in extras, together with the view hub had up the beach whilst sat watching the boats go by.

I opted to blip the tangled bunting around the promenade railings as i though it was quite a gritty image with the docks and all its paraphernalia in the background....l hope I chose wisely.

Still havent had an email from Nikon about my camera...its been a week today :-((
