Blipping Forty

Poppy

This morning Rosie had her 6 month check at the vet.  As I drove her to Hexham, I noticed some poppies in a field on the outskirts of the village.  With it being fairly early morning they were  beautifully backlit & I decided to pop over later in the afternoon for a blip.  The light had obviously changed by this afternoon but I managed to get a few reasonable shots.

In other news we had two lovely wooden casement windows fitted in the kitchen and utility room this afternoon.  Although busy, the joiners had kindly arranged to fit them this week knowing we needed them fitted before the work in the kitchen started.  Such a shame not everyone keeps their word!  The new windows have more glass and less frame than the previous windows and make the rooms seem so much brighter.  They have been beautifully made too, great workmanship.
