Evening on Coniston Eastern Shore

A busy day in the garden. The tree surgeons came to remove some branches from a large yew tree which were hogging the light and also to remove  an elder tree which had chosen yo grow somewhere inappropriate.

It was a lovely evening so we drove over to Coniston, stopping first to investigate Kelly Hall tarn before going up the western side and then returning along the eastern shore. We stopped a number of times to admire the views and sunset and have a stroll. Midges were a bit vicious though tonight,
