The Old Forge (Thursday 13th July 2017)

This lobelia was planted in on June 30th and was doing well until today, when it seems to have been severely sabotaged overnight by animal unknown (slug?). I came out to view it this morning with a view to transplanting it to the pond, having discovered yesterday that it will grow happily in water, indeed C.'s lobelia is doing well in hers.

Perhaps it will be safer in the middle of my pond. I will re-plant it there and see if it can revive.
