Memorial sessions

Today I gave one of the six talks in the two conference sessions in memory of my PhD supervisor, Roger Fletcher FRS, who died when hill-walking last year. Of the speakers, three others were also students of his - one of whom I'd never met before - one was a collaborator, and one was someone dropped into the session since there were only five scheduled talks.

I had interest in my work from researchers from China and Brazil, but I can't see it leading to more trips! Last night's drinks reception was good for meeting other new people and tonight's conference dinner should be similarly useful.
