Whale safari - Andøya, Norway

We were lucky to see three different sperm whales this afternoon.  This time of year this is the most common whale in this area, and they are all males. The female are in tropical water with the calves. 
The males are 15 to 20 meters long and have a weight of 45-57 tonnes as full adults. They can become up to 80 years old. 
Impressive to see these huge animals in their right element!
