Perovskia

It's tricky to get a good photo of perovskia, as the individual flowers are so small and the flower stems so spread out. A longer shot of the whole plant loses all the detail. Seen close up the individual flowers are very delicate, and softer in colour than the stronger mauve of the unopened buds. The two plants we have aren't vigorous enough to really show off the impressionistic splash of silvery blue haze that they create in the border. I'm not sure what the trouble is, but they don't really seem to thrive.
