Pretty Princesses

Today we tootled off to visit middle son, DiL, Olivia and Isabella.....we hadnt seen them for over a month, since before we went to Italy :-/

The usual, hold ups on the M6 so we jumped off to go via the A34, big mistake, "road ahead closed" no notice, no detour.....just chaos. HGVs, Transporters and the likes all trying to do 3 point turns to go,back the way we had come!!! Left home at 10.30 eventually arrived in Congleton 12.05...big sigh!!!

The girls were happy to see us......Olivia hasnt been too well....she has a nasty cough, and an upset tummy, but despite that, she was pretty good, apart from not wanting to eat much of her dinner. We went for a pub lunch, the first choice couldn't find us a table for 6, second choice was closed but third choice proved a winner.......well apart from us asking for no gravy and no peas on the girls meals, and both arriving with! I ordered a ham and pineapple pizza and was brought ham egg and chips.....but other than that it was OK ;-)

Todays blip is the girls playing together, Olivia trying to show Isabella how to use the tablet....dont think, she was too impressed!! ;-)
You wouldnt think there was two years and two days between them would you?!!

Once we got back to sons house, he headed off to spend some time with the older two girls...we had planned to get off home, but DiL said she was taking Olivia to her swimming lesson, so we decided to go and watch her. Isabella stayed at their other grandmas. Olivia is very small and light for her age, and by far the smallest in her swimming class but she did amazingly well. The teacher decided that certain children were going to try without any arm bands, including Olivia.......she swam two widths without any support and got her 10 metre badge and certificate :-) The was tired out afterwards!! She was rewarded with some Skittles for being such a clever girl.

On e back home, mummy showered Olivia, we played with Isabella, today she said Dragon, Dog and All gone.......she is starting nursery in a few weeks so will come on leaps and bounds in the talking department then Im sure!

Daddy came home around 7, and their friend called round to see them all too. Pizza for dinner for all of them........we said our good byes and left them all to their social evening.

An easy run home, for a change, cheese and biscuits with a glass of red for us....perfect :-)

Ive added an extra of Oliva from lunch time, before the tears ;-)
