House

This must be one of the oldest houses in the town and is certainly much older than the buildings around it.  When it was built, it was probably just a farmhouse in the middle of fields.  Now, it has a short front garden fronting on to a busy road.  The house itself I find attractive, but the location rather less so.

The town has changed considerably over the years, triggered by the railway passing through and, particularly, the expansion of London into the rural surroundings in the 1930s.
