BACKBLIP National Fete Day

From early morning the cars, coaches, boats and river cruisers started pouring into town. Most people headed for the old town and the castle/harbour area. By early evening there were hundreds of cars parked along the quayside and, I imagine, in every available space throughout the town. The firework display began at 11.15 p.m. and ended when the Navy's ships sirens and other boats in the harbour signalled the end. Beautiful, but I do wish firework sales could be restricted to organised displays! Another lovely day. Moving on to pastures new tomorrow in search of Normandy cheese and Cider!
Backblipped to 12th.
