Standing guard

Another "bird family" shot today.

Last year, we had seagulls nesting among our chimneys. They're noisy so-and-sos, so early this year we had spikes (nice, "safe", plastic ones) put up on the chimney stack to deter them. They've decided these spikes make a GREAT place to nest, and they're noisily rearing three chicks there this year!! :D

As ever, the parents are being very vigilant and protective. Here's Mum(?) standing guard on another chimney pot, while Dad(?) patrols overhead - both squawking loudly to warn off any intruders.
