Echinops

My insect obsession continues unabated. I'm spending far too much time watching them and not nearly enough getting other things done. 

Echinops are fabulous flowers for bees: easy to walk around and you can share each flowerhead with several friends without everyone getting in each other's way. The extra is another of discarded dragonfly cases stacked up on an iris leaf in our pond.
