Prelude

We've our biggest ever group gathering arriving tomorrow - twenty plus. The numbers vary each days as some come and some go.  As the organiser is someone who lived in this house some years back there's a bit of a feeling of imminent inspection that's prompting some tidying, especially in the garden.  Lawns mown, paths cleared, garden bins that were emptied this morning... are now full again.
