Scary

Our lavender is literally covered in bees of many sorts.

This one is probably a Tree bumblebee (Bombus hypnorum), but the square shape on its back is unusual so if anyone knows better please let me know.

The yellow extra is a male worker Buff-tailed bumblebee. The pale grey one I can't identify but perhaps its just old?

A few neighbours came round for chatting & drinks this evening and ended up wandering the garden, which lead to us to all then wandering theirs too. Always good to share tips. The neighbours opposite have a fantastic flower meadow so I'm going to run with that idea and let some of our lawn go wild.
