Killin

We have left Edinburgh for a mini tour to the West Coast for a few days.  This means sporadic or non-existent internet access hence the lateness of this post. When we got to Killin we realised we had been there before and I had taken umpteen pictures of the Falls of Dochart with R & M scrambling all over them in their younger years.  Instead I am posting this viaduct over the river just down water from the Falls. It is the oldest concrete viaduct in Scotland. Built in 1885 for the Loch Tay railway branch of the Caledonian Line. The Line closed in 1939 but is well used now by cyclists and walkers. Much fun was to be had scrambling down the bank to find a vantage point to take a photo because viewing point at the information board is totally obscured by trees.
