If you can't beat them...

A Long Long Day

We were up nice and early aiming to spend as long as possible at Katkatkat's allotment before heading down home.  The morning went well with a lot of work getting done, rearranging the contents of the shed and finishing construction of her beds.

around 3:30 after returning to the flat for a clean up and gathering our goods we set off home.  The car wasn't pulling as it should and so I stopped in a lay-by just outside Silverburn to check thinks.  The front offside wheel was very hot.  I suspected a seized brake caliper.

The RAC man agreed with my diagnosis and spend quite along time seeing if it could be freed.  Each time he got it free the first use of the brake locked the brakes on again.  To cut a long story short we arrived home at 11:00!

The blip?  Oh that was the view across the road from our lay-by (I say ours as we nearly established squatters rights).  The hills are I believe from Left to right South Black Hill, Scald Law and Carnethy.
