A River Walk and Retail Therapy

B and I had a day in Norwich today.  We decided to walk some of the River Trail along the River Wensum.  We really enjoyed it and learnt some of the history of Norwich along the way.
This was the view looking toward Fye Bridge, which is one of the oldest bridges in Norwich and was first mentioned in 1132.  Apparently it took its name as it was the fifth bridge over the river.  It was originally built of wood, but was rebuilt in stone after a flood in 1570 and then again in 1829 and in the 1930s.
After all our walking we treated ourselves to a refreshing salad lunch in Jarrold's Department store and then filled the rest of the day with shopping, finishing with an ice cream from the ice cream parlour in the old market place.
Our day was perfect apart from swarms of flying ants everywhere...has anyone else encountered these today?
