What a beautiful day with hardly a cloud in the sky and the thermometer reaching 21.5c and even at 11pm it was 17c.   With the strong wind behind it was very pleasant to walk along the fairly overgrown, but quiet, footpath beside the Tyne from East Linton towards Dunbar.    As we sat eating our picnic beside Knowes Mill Ford we watched a man training his two ten week old puppies to follow their mother and swim across the river which was probably as low as we have ever seen it there.  Fortunately we did not need to get wet feet as we were able to cross on a footbridge.
