Sunny Reflections on the British Museum

London Blipmeet today!  A lovely sunny day for it and two great exhibitions to visit.  We started of at "The Great Wave" Hokusai exhibition. We met Nicoiseannie and Paul there and if you look carefully at the extra you will see two zany people in the centre waving and gesticulating - yes, they'd just arrived!  the exhibition was excellent - some beautiful exhibits - rather too many people in there at one time but we did manage to read the information and see the pictures reasonable well.  The show is sold out and I can see why.  SOOOOO interesting.

After that we walked round to the British Library where we had some lunch, met Norfolkdoc  (Good to meet you, Caroline.  Hope we see you again soon) and we visited the Russian Revolution Exhibition.  We were expecting to be joined by 59Daisies too and she did manage to get to us in time for afternoon coffee!  Good to see you, too, Sue.  This was another excellent exhibition exploring Russia at the start of the 20th century, the end of the monarchy and the growth in power of the Bolsheviks.

So we have been thoroughly educated today and really enjoyed the company we have had.  Thank you, Blippers!

This shot was from the little viewing window on the third floor to the Museum, looking across to the Grand Court where they hold all the special exhibitions.  The light was really good in there today.

Birmingham Blipmeet tomorrow!
