Borderlands

Left a sunny Milton Keynes this morning on the 10:13 train which was bound for Glasgow. We jumped off at Birmingham New Street and took the second train of our journey from Birmingham to Newport. What we thought would be our last train arrived a bit late but we found a seat despite it being very busy. We only made it one stop up the line to Cardiff though and 'everybody off' for unspecified but probably unpleasant issues with the train's facilities. Another (longer) train was waiting for us and we're now on train number four heading for lovely Pembrokeshire.

Anyone who has seen the weather forecast for Wales today will know that it's wet, windy and thoroughly dreich and I'm not sure that there will be many opportunities for photographs by the time we get to our friend A's beautiful house.

So today's blip is somewhere between Gloucester and Chepstow on train number 2. The rain hadn't reached us but it was very gusty. I'm not sure which side of the border we're on but I reckon we're still in England here.
