Cliffs of Moher

Woke up to slightly less beautiful weather this morning.  We decided to do the Slea Head drive anyway, before leaving the Dingle Peninsula, and it was still very beautiful.  Stocked up on lunch at Lidl in Dingle, then carried on through Limerick and to County Clare.  We were slightly taken aback by what a massive tourist spot the Cliffs of Moher seemed to be - huge great car parks with a steep fee - but it was totally worth the stop, and the fee.  It was super blowy on the top - but thankfully the wind was blowing us inland instead of off the cliffs ;)  Beautiful views, but also very cool to see all the sea birds (including puffins!) nesting on the rocks below.

We carried on to Lisdoonvarna after that, and checked into another absolutely beautiful B&B - Ballinsheen House.  Relaxed in the room for a while, then went for a delicious meal at the Roadside Tavern down the road - accompanied by more live Irish music.  I went for the tagliatelle with the local Burren smoked salmon - sooo good!  And Tim sampled their locally brewed beer too :)
